Unicorn Dazzler: Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has launched its latest bike in the 150cc segment. The CB Unicorn Dazzler has been launched with an aggressive naked bike styling, much in the same vein as the recently launched CB Twister. The bike has been launched at a price of Rs 62,900 (ex-showroom Delhi) and comes loaded with features like disc brakes at the front and rear, a digital console and the monoshock rear suspension that we had seen previously on the Unicorn. The bike will sport the same 150cc air-cooled single cylinder powerplant that has been at work on the Unicorn. While this may not excite performance oriented riders, it is being viewed as a good move for the commuter market given that this is a tried and trusted engine.
While the Honda Unicorn has always been a popular choice in the 150cc segment, its appeal was aimed more towards working professionals thanks to its somewhat staid styling. With the Dazzler, Honda seems to be aiming at the pie occupied by the Yamaha FZ and Fazer series and attract younger buyers into the 150cc market. Given that the Unicorn retails for an ex-showroom price in the region of Rs 59,000 the Dazzler should make for a very tempting buying proposition.
