Texas Big Ten

Texas Big Ten : Since then, the Big Ten began kicking around the idea of expanding to twelve teams, Texas has figured prominently in the discussion of this member which may be 12th. Missouri, Pittsburgh, and Syracuse has emerged more prominently, but each of these schools to seem somewhat less than ideal and goals of the expansion.

Texas the same as it looks like a longshot. Has rejected many of the Ngurn] on the one hand, quoting a (non-existent) rule the Big Ten, which would not only lead to extending the boundaries established on its territory the current. Others believe that the travel costs of participants to non-revenue sports would essentially kill the deal.

Do not be so quick to close the opportunities for Texas to join the Big Ten. Lawrence (Kansas) Journal World, is to inform the parties have already made contact.

Then again, this might be one of those reports and we all need to take with a grain of salt:

A source in the relations with the Big Ten while the bulk of the attention of people have been trained in the theft of the state of Missouri, the Big Ten may be involved in “an initial exchange” with a Fish-in-Water-Belt-Buckle-246.html' target='_blank' class='infotextkey'>fish much larger than the adult 12.

“There was an initial exchange between the top ten and Texas,” the source told the magazine world on Wednesday. “People will not deny that, but accurate.”

“Said a source in the relations with the Big Ten” is a mysterious mad. Can be any person in charge of the actual conference to the principal of Big Ten athletics, who was assistant coach to coach in the Big Ten school. Technically, that could mean anyone, even those who have graduated from universities, the Big Ten, but it is clear that it is highly unlikely.

Daily between the world we know its source, however, and I am willing to give this story for the benefit of the doubt. I suppose that someone is actually in a position to know whether there was a connection between the Conference and Texas.

The benefits of expansion to the media of the rich nations of the state of Texas should be clear, and it’s clear the Big Ten wanted to maintain a large presence in Texas, however. Texas may never actually join the conference, but it would be a great fit academically and sports and cultural. This report is one worth keeping an eye on.
