Blackberry service down: RIM Blackberry outage December 22 frustrates customers. Regular Blackberry outage is frustrating customers. There was a Blackberry outage earlier this week too. And this is second time that the service is down for several hours.
This seems to have angered the BlackBerry customers who have become accustomed to using it for all important purposes including sending and receiving mails and browsing the net while on the move.
R Duke says, "This happened last week too on Thursday. What is the DEAL RIM?"
Another BlackBerry user says, "It is December 22, 2009 and the BBM has not been working for 5 hours! Still out".
Toyo says, "This needs to be assessed immediately. For second time in a week, what RIM guys are doing?"
Jackie says, "I initially called Verizon to ask what the problem was. The idiot rep told me to delete BBM and re-download it. Now I can’t reinstall it and am terrified I wont get my contacts back, even though I backed the list up. I have no emails, no browser and no BBM. What’s going on!!?? Does anyone know how long this took to fix last time?"
David says, "This is becoming a problem with RIM, why don’t other networks have similar problems as frequently as RIM does?"
A Research in Motion (RIM) official says that a technical glitch caused a spotty nationwide outage of Internet service on the devices.
Jamie Ernst went on to add, "Technical teams are actively working to resolve the issue for those impacted".
