Iphone 4 4.1 Jailbreak

Iphone 4 4.1 JailbreakLatest News Update About Iphone 4 4.1 Jailbreak: Earlier on today we told you that iOS 4.1 is available to download. iOS 4.1 is a major iOS 4 update and should be installed if you're not interested in jailbreaking and/or unlocking (whichever applies) the iPhone 4 or the iPod touch 4G, and all previous iPhone and iPod touch models.

TFTS Technology, Gadgets & Curiosities But the good news is that iOS 4.1 jailbreaking is underway as a new exploit has been found that can be used to free the iPhone and iPod touch, and, subsequently an iPhone 4.1 unlock will probably also be released.

So how is iOS 4.1 jailbreak confirmed? Well it seems that hacker pod2g, responsible for the previous 24kpwn exploit used by Pwnage Tool from Chronic Dev Team, found a new bootrom-based exploit that will allow iOS 4.1 jailbreak on any iOS device.

The iPhone Dev Team did confirm the new hole found in Apple's iOS 4.1 so a jailbreak version will be available in the near future. Here are a few quotes from Twitter related to the iOS 4.1 jailbreak:

cpich3g: congrats to @pod2g for the latest exploit and also @p0sixninja who have been trying for months.

MuscleNerd: Crazy timing that @pod2g got latest exploit just as 4.1 went public (lots of work left…keep away from 4.1 for now!)

We talked about iOS 4.1 jailbreak preparations a few days ago when we told you that the new jailbreak might not be done through an easy JailbreakMe application, but that's not necessarily bad news for jailbreakers. Since the new jailbreak is based on bootrom exploit that means Apple will not be able to address it with a simple update, just like it did with JailbreakMe, and it will have to release iOS devices with new bootroms in order to prevent this future jailbreak.

Unfortunately we have no timeframe for this iOS 4.1 jailbreak solution, but rest assured that we'll keep you updated on the matter, although we'd never advise you to jailreak and/or unlock your iOS device. It's up to you to make that decision and support any related consequences.
