Adora Green

Latest News About Adora Green, the first DBSS (Design, Build and Sell Scheme) public housing development in Yishun had its groundbreaking yesterday on-site at Yishun Avenue 11, in a ceremony graced by Mr K Shanmugam, Minister for Home Affairs and Minister for Law. The development is expected to launch some time in the first quarter next year.

Conveniently located at the junction of Yishun Ave 11 and Yishun Central, within walking distance from the Yishun MRT/Bus Interchange and well supported by amenities of a mature estate Adora Green will add another housing option to Singaporeans wishing to live around Yishun.

Yishun is a matured estate in Singapore and was identified by the government in 2007 for rejuvenation to meet the changing needs of an ever evolving community. Under the HDB's Remaking Our Heartland (ROH) initiative, Yishun will benefit from the new upgrading programmes (Home Improvement Programme and Neighbourhood Renewal Programme) as well as exciting projects to invigorate the town centre with new vibrancy and more new facilities for its residents to enjoy the great outdoors.

Adora Green is the seventh DBSS project to be built since 2005 but it is the first DBSS to be developed in Yishun. Offering a premium yet affordable lifestyle, Adora Green will be part of Yishun's rebirth as an exciting and thriving heartland.

Mr K Shanmugan, who is also the MP for Sembawang GRC (Chong Pang) & Advisor to Chong Pang GROs said he was delighted to welcome Adora Green DBSS flats to Yishun as it provides attractive premium housing for young families and brings vibrancy to Yishun.

With the recently announced makeover for Yishun Pond and its surroundings, new community spaces and gardens will be created to form a rejuvenated waterfront park for Yishun residents. An 84-metre overhead bridge cum lookout tower will connect Yishun Pond to Yishun Park, both of which are located across the road from Adora Green.

When completed, Adora Green will deliver 800 well-designed apartments that will capitalise on the lush greenery and water to offer "homes in nature's embrace."

Mr Michael Leong, Director of the developer Guthrie SK Land Pte Ltd, which is a joint venture between Guthrie (DBP) Pte Ltd and SK Land Pte Ltd, said that "Adora Green will be breaking new ground with a number of fresh ideas." It will be introducing an innovative new concept that will see a 5-room apartment with 4-rooms. Apart from 3 bedrooms, there will be a smaller room that can be converted into a study, a nursery or even a walk-in wardrobe. These little but important touches are to meet the expectations of discerning buyers seeking homes that are not only well-fitted but catering to their daily practical needs.

He added "From our observations, we note that most multi storey car parks within HDB estates are built away from the majority of flats. At Adora Green, we have recognized this inconvenience. We are now planning a multi storey car park that is more spread out so that car park spaces can be next to or closer to the flats. We are certain that this feature will be truly appreciated."
